CONTINUOUS CARBON FIBER COMPOSITE SEGMENTED LAMINATED ARTICLES AND METHODS TO FORM THEM

A laminate article is comprised of a segment layer comprised of a plurality of unidirectional continuous fiber polymer composite members having a longitudinal edge parallel to the direction of the fibers of the unidirectional continuous fiber polymer composite member that are abutted forming a top and bottom face and a bonding layer comprised of an adhesive and a fabric that is adhered to the top face, bottom face or both faces. The laminate article may be useful to make assemblages useful to support molds for making complex fiber composite shapes such as vehicular fuselages. The unidirectional continuous fiber polymer composite members may be pultruded fiber polymer composites.
