Integrated manufacturing of REciclable multi-material COmposites for the TRANSport sector
BOX WITH LOCKING MECHANISMS
A box with a new locking mechanism and methods of using the same are disclosed. The box can be a carton box formed from a one-piece unitary blank of a material, or a plastic box. The new locking mechanisms of the box allows easy closing of the box by a small pressure on locking flaps on the top of the box having orifices to engage fixing tips of respective cover flaps. The locking mechanisms also provide a better repartition of forces on the tips / orifices interactions on the top part of the box, leading to stronger closing fixtures when the box is used for packaging and transport of goods. For instance, the box can be used for packaging and transporting heavy loads such as beverage cans (soft drinks, beer or the like), and the number of fixing mechanisms can be chosen in function of the final use of the box. The box can be used multiple times making the box a more green product preserving the environment.
