A pallet-type base, more particularly for transportation and storage containers for liquids, provided with an inner container made of plastic, with a closable filler neck and a discharge neck for connection to a drainage valve, wherein the base has an outer casing made of a metal grille or sheet, and a floor for supporting the inner container, corner feet and central feet disposed between the corner feet, and a floor crossbeam (59), wherein at least the outer casing and the floor crossbeam are fastened to at least two central feet, wherein each central foot, the outer casing and the floor crossbeam are interlockingly fastened by means of a screw (60), wherein the screw (60) interlockingly engages the floor crossbeam (59).
