Integrated manufacturing of REciclable multi-material COmposites for the TRANSport sector

FORST – German railway company Deutsche Bahn AG will use a lightweight composite flooring manufactured by industrial equipment specialist SMT for its fleet of 66 trains. Over 25,000m2 of flooring will be supplied by SMT for the refurbishment, which will see heavy wooden panels substituted for a reusable vacuum membrane layer.
