MATERIAL DETERMINATION DEVICE FOR WASTE PLASTICS

A material determination device for waste plastics, comprising: a preprocessing unit that, using a first correction spectrum obtained by measuring reflected light under bright conditions and a second correction spectrum obtained by measuring reflected light under dark conditions, corrects a reflected light spectrum of light radiated by illumination onto the transport path of a conveyor as detected by a mid-infrared camera; a determination unit that, using the spectrum corrected by the preprocessing unit, identifies the material of a waste plastic fragment; and an arm unit that moves a calibration plate for acquiring the first and second spectra between a prescribed reference position and a position irradiated with illumination on the transport path.
