The invention relates to a sliding sleeve (1) for axially sliding onto an expanded end of a solid plastic tube (4) or a plastic composite tube, wherein a connection element (3) support body (5) which is provided with circumferential outer ribs (7, 7a, 7b, 7c) is inserted into said end. The sliding sleeve (1) is made of an elastically deformable polymer material. The inner surface (2) of the sliding sleeve (1) has an average roughness Ra ranging from 1 ?m to half of the average wall thickness of the sliding sleeve (1), or the inner surface (2) of the sliding sleeve (1) has a plurality of macroscopic uneven sections, the depth of which does not exceed half of the average wall thickness of the sliding sleeve (1).
