WHITE LIGHT QUANTUM DOTS BASED LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

A white light quantum dots based light emitting diode and a manufacturing method therefor are disclosed. The white light quantum dots based light emitting diode according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first electrode; a hole injection layer on the first electrode; a hole transport layer on the hole injection layer; an emission layer on the hole transport layer; an electron transport layer on the emission layer; and a second electrode on the electron transport layer, wherein the emission layer has red, green, and blue (RGB) quantum dots doped with a blue light emitting polymer. The blue light emitting polymer acts as a blue light emitting exciton and simultaneously improves brightness through a characteristic of energy transfer to the RGB quantum dots. According to an embodiment, the blue light emitting polymer includes a fluorene homo-polymer emitting light in a wavelength band of 440-490 nm. According to the present embodiment, a low blue light emitting efficiency problem of the white light quantum dots based light emitting diode can be resolved, and a high-brightness white light emitting characteristic can be obtained through the characteristic of energy transfer to the RGB quantum dots.
