FOLDABLE CARGO BAGS DEPLOYABLE IN CARGO HOLDS, AND METHODS FOR TRANSPORTING BULK CARGO
This invention provides a foldable cargo bag (101,101a-101c) for deploying inside a cargo hold (14,14a-14c) of a cargo vessel (100,100a-100c). Each cargo bag (101,101a-101c) is formed with sidewall fold lines/creases (108) and bottom fold lines (109,110), so that the cargo bag is foldable to open or to close; the cargo bags (101,101a-101c) prevent direct contamination the cargo hold with bulk cargo, thus minimising cross-contamination. When the cargo bags are emptied of the bulk cargo, they are folded for stowing away to a side of the cargo hold (14,14a-14c). The bottom base (102) may be supported with a segmented base plate (170,170a-170c), with some edges being tiltable to accumulate residual cargo for facilitating clean discharging of the bulk cargo. Each cargo bag (101,101a-101c) is suspended along a mouth edge by connect members (105,105a) to roller assemblies (130), or to pivot bars (122,122a), pivots (123,125) and support rails (160) assemblies.
