POLYMERIC SUBSTRATES AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THEREOF

Porous polymer membranes, methods of making porous polymer membranes, and methods of using the membranes are described herein. Generally, composite membranes used for gas separation include a dense top layer responsible for gas separation and a porous substrate layer that provides mechanical support. Although the major separation is achieved by the selective top layer, the pore structure of the substrate has a significant effect on the gas transport performance of the composite membrane
