DescripciĆ³n completa

A Croatian company, established in 2006, is specialized in development and application of composite technologies for ships.

The company offers expertise in composite patching and overlay technology (COMPA) for repair and reinforcement of structures and pipes damaged by cracks and corrosion.

The composite repair method features application of carbon and glass fibres mixed with epoxy resin/adhesive onto damaged surface. By curing, the resin hardens and permanently bonds to the surface, impregnating also the fibres that reinstate the strength of the damaged part. This creates a solid new layer of material that provides full water tightness.

The repairs are performed by trained personnel. Optimal and robust performance of the repair/reinforcement is ensured and the application is documented and approved by the controlling bodies ? maritime classification societies.

Additionally, the company offers design and engineering support and training services.

The SME is searching for a long term international partnership to further expand its business. Cooperation is envisaged through commercial agency agreement, distribution services agreement, subcontracting and services agreement.

Under a commercial agency agreement and distribution services agreement, the company is looking for partners to represent them on foreign markets.

Under a subcontracting, the company is looking for partners from the same field, willing to assign them part of their obligations.

Under a services agreement, the company is looking for a long-term cooperation with companies in need of composite repair services.

Socio buscado:

- Type of partner sought: Knowledge of the maritime industry and ship repair.
- Specific area of activity of the partner: The SME is searching for foreign partners under a commercial agency agreement and distribution services agreement to:

- cost effective alternative to traditional cut and insert procedures
- fast - can be done onboard vessel in a port or during voyage
- safe - no hot works involved therefore eliminating the need to degasify tanks or remove linings, ceilings or other flammable material.
- flexible - can be applied to any place reachable by human hand and it does not demand heavy equipment for application
- durable - epoxy is resistant to osmosis so the expected lifetime can be measured in decades.
- reliable ? it exhibits good fatigue resistance
- robust - does not cause stress concentrations, it actually reduces them
- light - low added weight
- versatile - high-pressure, hydrocarbons, liquids and similar conditions do not present obstacles

The company has been certified by an IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) for repairs of marine piping using composite technology procedure, which is based on the application of fiber reinforced plastics.
