Materials for Composites Collaboration Event

To bring together end users, composites industry and the chemical industry to jointly look at the needs and challenges in composite materials

The Composites Leadership Forum and the Chemistry Growth Partnership have both identified the development of Composite Materials to be a priority and an opportunity. Indeed, the CLF Strategy states that increased collaboration with the chemicals sector is one of its Science and Technology Recommendations to unlock the growth in the sector.

Whilst various recent initiatives have addressed the needs and challenges for the Aerospace and Automotive Sectors in Composite Materials, there is a need to look at the sectors outside of these such as construction, marine, oil & gas, rail, renewable energy and defence where there is current and potential use of composite materials.

The aim of this collaboration event is to bring together end users, composites industry and the chemical industry to jointly look at the needs and challenges in composite materials and what development steps will be required to address these.
